Things I thought about in June

Winter can be a strange mystical time and not just because I want it to be, I think there is something to explore in the fact that we can flip to the other side into insanity when the weather flips into the negative degrees. Repetition, darkness, a low hanging sky, hardness. Water turns hard, inaccessible. Our bodies turn hard and callussed, inaccessible under layers of leather and fur. The way it slams between that and the feeling of being one with the body in summer, rolling around in the grass like a child like I was doing on Tuesday, almost naked. Our skin in summer reacts to what is around it, becomes harder in some places and stays soft in others, terraforms, becomes a landscape, geography, and there is dirt under our nails, and we taste fruit juice and water.
